You'll be a pivotal ground floor member of the G4S finance team as we get ready to embark on an exciting new contract with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). In fact, this is the single largest contract in our history and we anticipate this to be a transformational force in our continued growth. As Financial Analyst, you will showcase your analytical horsepower as you perform the day-to-day GL function, reconciliations, month-end closing, cash forecasting and provide accurate financial reporting that communicates key drivers, trends and operational metrics. We will also look to you to come in with a fresh set of eyes and drive process improvements and financial best practices that will allow us to meet and exceed the growth objectives of this critical contract.

What Else You'll Bring to the Table

In addition to the qualifications detailed above, you must have:

• US citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field; CPA is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years experience in GL accounting with a good understanding of corporate financial principles.
• Exposure to inter-company financials.
• Knowledge and/or experience in Sales and Use tax.
• Outstanding communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with external and internal stakeholders; must be a strong team player who can also work independently as needed.
• The ability to learn new things quickly with minimal direction.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite, especially Excel.
• Knowledge and/or experience with Solomon is a plus.

Our contract with DHS ICE requires that we conduct extensive "suitability" background checks, and they will conduct their own check of all candidates' suitability for entry on duty. To pass both checks, you will need, at minimum:

• A clean credit history and good current credit standing.
• A criminal record clear of felonies or misdemeanors of a moral or egregious nature.
• A clean driving record.
• A negative result on an initial drug screen and subsequent random drug tests.

With our technical and geographical infrastructure, along with proven success on our current ICE contract, we are positioned extremely well to be awarded and exceed the performance expectations of the Intensive Supervision and Appearance Program (ISAP II) contract scheduled to be awarded on July 20th, 2009. We will look to you to begin work with G4S on the ISAP II contract beginning August 3rd, 2009 and join our week-long training program in Dallas, Texas. You will play a key role in our company's expansion as a world-class government services provider.

More About Your Role

If you're a good fit for this position, you already know most of what this job entails. However, to be sure we're providing a complete picture, here are some details.

Reporting directly to the Divisional Controller, you will join our Finance team of seven analysts at our DC office in the heart of the nation's capital.

At a high level, you will spend about 20% of your time with month-end closings; and the remaining 80% managing day-to-day accounting and other financial analysis activities. In general, your responsibilities include:

• Maintaining day to day GL function.
• Assisting with the month end and year end closings.
• Maintaining fixed assets system and depreciation for Division's equipment.
• Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the Division.
• Managing P&L reporting, review and analysis of all offices within the Division.
• Performing monthly review of inventory valuation and reconciliation.
• Maintaining monthly reporting calendars.
• Assisting with cash forecasting.
• Performing reconciliation of inter-company accounts.
• Initiating and implementing process improvements.
• Maintaining and documenting control and compliance systems.
